for we were one
all along

your coming out
will lay bare
part of
if not
all of
my soul
and that is not
my worry
it is
the void
that you'd
leave behind

Too true.
Im not quite as creative as a lot of folks on here but i sure do enjoy writin mine and readin what others have posted.
I can relate to this, to give it its life, in some ways it must die.
Life in its exposure to others, in its birth of publication.
Death in it's end of being created. In its completion of edit where no more creativity can be used to express or withhold its reason to exist.

your dissection of this scribble has but honored it in a way, beyond i ever expected barring a few peers close here.
yes, life, in its coming out, death the other way around for the poet rendering their guts out.
whilst it doesn't take an artist to appreciate the art, it however takes one to go deeper, as you have, dear friend!

Like a child leaving the nest to fly out on their own, the poet, like the parent, must adjust to appreciating what the child takes with them into the world.
