Fatherless Chlid
"Sometimes I feel like a fatherless child
Sometimes I feel like a fatherless child
Sometimes I feel like a fatherless child
A long way from home, a long way from home"
A child without a father
Constantly looking
For that father figure to guide her
Instead she finds herself in the arms of men
Who denies her
Feeling lost
Thinking sex and drugs will prime her
She is hurt and bruised
No man will ever do
What the father was supposed to do
If he held her close
told her she was beautiful
Maybe then she'd know
That love can be meaningful
Showed her how a man can lead you
Instead of leave you
Leave you to cry, leave you to die
Turn around and wonder why?
Momma cant help
She caught up with the same men
Same song
"A house is not a home
When there's no one there to hold you tight
And no one there you can kiss goodnight"
But she chases them anyway
In fear of being a lone
in her own home
I'm a fatherless child on her own
No man will ever love her
Like daddy ' daughter school dances
And daddy girl trips
Because I am your princess and just can't resist
Give me those mustache kisses on the cheek
That prick you as soon as he kisses you
You laugh because you know daddy kisses are the best
Still,
I wish
Sometimes I feel like a fatherless child
Sometimes I feel like a fatherless child
A long way from home, a long way from home"
A child without a father
