Cut deep
Ever so slowly, simmering
my pain, warmed by the tears shed
touching the ground as they fall like delicate pearls
that burst on blades on grass
smoothly sliced in two, as was my heart
bleeding every drop of love that once filled me
for you

"Ever so slowly, simmering
my pain, warmed by the tears shed" - a beautiful heart break seething to the top like hydrogen peroxide on an infected wound
"touching the ground as they fall like delicate pearls
that burst on blades on grass" - i can feel the snap of the white pearls and falling to the ground, i get the sense of being lost,scattered
"smoothly sliced in two, as was my heart
bleeding every drop of love that once filled me
for you" - betrayal being pumped by a heart that's seen all too much of the dark side from this world.it's hard to say if you'll let them get under your skin ever again.
