in the side drivers hallway
of the pizza joint
have been
flashing
for a week now
solid

like from out of a horror movie
just before someone

dies

imagine
blood
splattered on
white walls
whimpering
hung up on meat hooks

or
hiding in the dark
hysterical
as the killer hovers over

friends faces
looked better on them anyways

it refuses to believe
Halloween is over
