Deeper than Me (2010)
You look at me and what do you see?
Is it a warm smile or my bright personality, or do you see despair in an individual struggling to discover their own identity, trapped in a maze of the world’s evils,
maybe you know me from my name made famous by the blood tied to it, or known me from a love lost, perhaps you have heard of my talents, my charm, my names in the bed, or the taste of my kiss,
you may have heard the rumors that I am a bad guy with no honor or restraint,
or maybe that I’m a good man, the best to guard your heart,
all are hearsay, fictitious accounts, falsified encounters, true stories, possible unkind words of honesty, and gossips of the world, past the myths of who I am
you have not even scratched the surface of me, you can’t comprehend the depths of me, you would drown in the mystery before gaining the minimum understanding of me,
who I am is deeper than me, my potential not yet reached, so how can you say you know me, when I don’t completely know myself.
