I Thought Of You

Got up this morning
saw the dew
froze to the grass
and thought of you
and pondered til
the pot was through
and I imbibed
a cup or two

there's not a lot
that I can do
about it, I
still think of you
and after all
that we've been through
perhaps I have
a chance or two

I saw some ivy-covered trees
today as I passed by a stream
and there was nothing I could do
I saw the life and thought of you

can't even look
at maple trees
I hear you whisper
through the breeze
I guess there's nothing
I can do
my little world
is filled with you
