This feels almost like a parent or teacher talking to a child in it’s tone. Starting off the feeling is almost kind and cautious - making the reader feel as though the character cares and is being vigilant and giving good advice, and as the poem goes on it gradually gets more direct, harsh and almost aggressive ending with ‘comply’ almost as a demand. I like the way the poem builds.

Excellent piece. That's the tapes we are being bombarded with, first by our parents and later by governments and other "parental" institutions. People internalize this shit and become imprisoned by it. Fuck all that!
