Lullabies
lush and hushed
pour sourly
dousing little dreams
horror hounds these threadbare themes
Shepherds crooked hooks
sink sharp
serrated sawing blades
pave Hell's parades
bent macabre charades in shade
twining thorns train sin's crusade
Blessed be each just jewler
bestowing grim garlands
measuring millstones
upon their noxious necklines...
And the righteous rank
reverent remnants
hands without slack
pressing redress
pushing those human plagues
off the plank

There is such a rampant hypocrisy throughout the religious community that totally misses the point of Love.

Yup! And I hope the layered nature of this can be discerned, but I intended to portray how they mislead young people and children, even by means of abuse. It's totally contrary to Jesus's message, he welcomed kids and treated the vulnerable with love.

AtoMik.. i'm not a religious man.. but i do agree the teachings of Jesus, are great rules to live by.. as far as accepting, and unconditional love.. organized religion, is the problem.. but i dig this ink.. much respect..

I have to admit that when I saw the title I was gonna pass - me and religion have a strained relationship and that's me being kind :-) I am so glad I clicked the button - I read it out loud and felt a wave over me followed with my best grin - what a pleasure it was to read this - thank you :-)
