HER GLORY SHONE AROUND (DAVID & BATHSHEBA)

Her naked glory shone around,
A sight his own eyes did astound
As she bathed in the water cool
His heated blood perked up his tool,
Spurring that urge of 'need' to 'know'.
His mind that sight could not let go.

He asked his servant who she be;
"Bathsheba", he answered promptly,
"Wife of Uriah the Hittite" -
Who as they spoke was in the fight
Against the Ammonitish king -
But die was cast, he'd get his fling.

A messenger he sent her house,
No invitation for her spouse,
But she alone, requested he,
The pleasure of her company.
She dressed and put her make-up on,
Then to his palace she was gone.

On royal table some food lay
With wine to lubricate the way,
With some displays of his C-sharp
He still could play upon the harp.
By this way he may have impressed
Her..soon they easily undressed.

So as her king he claimed his right
To possess her body that night.
He cared not she was another's;
In his eyes they were lovers.
In thrust, writhe and impassioned moan
The seeds of his next son were sown.
