words are seductive and dangerous,
to be used with great caution.
mirrors are honest and damaging,
they trick the most beautiful of us into hating ourselves.
gluttony is harmful and destructive,
it builds a wall between the fortunate from those who are less.
and pride is strong and disastrous,
it prevents us from being in touch with ourselves.
and yet we are still seduced by the mention of gossip.
we still get so entranced by mirrors we forget about the world outside.
we eat and eat from the mouths of the ones who starve .
and we are too proud to see that we are flawed in every way.
It kills me
to know
that we are the cause of our own self destruction.

This is such an accurate depiction of society today good job! It's sad that it has to be this way but maybe this will make people open their eyes more.
