you eat what you throw

   
Atlantic Salmon    
said the Label    
highlighted in big letters    
"Wild  Caught"    
     
brought the images    
of pristine ocean    
roaring blue, grey    
whales breaching    
dolphins leaping    
a million miles    
from the smog covered    
city.    
     
Into the trolley it goes.    
well blissfully unaware    
me    
just put back in to the trolley    
and soon to be    
into my belly    
the plastic refuse i threw    
the exfoliating nano beads    
my partner washed down her      
lovely face    
and a whole lot more    
of the unpalatable.    
     
well it is too late      
anyways
    
I've already
paid the
price  
at the checkout
 
 
 
But hey    
there is always    
room for skepticism    
and their society    
is looking inviting    
[despite  
my doubts  
about them]
