Tribute

Sometimes I will say too much or too little
Hope they don’t think I’m self absorbed or fickle

Truth is I have found sanctuary
Amongst fellow poets here on DUP

Truth is I can hardly believe
Cut myself out for so long from society

Is this real? How could I have not known?
A place like this exists, my heart grows

With every write, the darkness is decomposed
A world to which I’ve never been exposed

Stumbled upon this place when I had no other option
A happenstance I embrace with open arms, I am adopted

Thank you all for touching my heart, mind, and soul
Shake my head looking back, was on the verge of ending it all ;

But here I find refuge, connection, and humor
Such like-minded expressions allure

A breath of fresh air...

I shall endure...
