My Patronus Is A Coffee Pot
The sweetest dose descends
Kneading tenderly...
Limping neuron ends
Mental mists hiss
Percolating - listing
As groggy fogs are hit
By caffeine's kiss
***
Another coffee poem I meant to submit yesterday, but was over the limit haha!

Perhaps over he limit in cups of coffee too... lol
Another good read on a topic I cannot fathom, but I do understand caffeine addiction. I looooove diet Mountain Dew. Original MD turned me into a diabetic but I still gotta get my caffeine fix, so diet is my dew...
Nice job on the sequel!

Oh thank you! MD was my favorite as well through my teenage years :) I didn't really turn to coffee until I was 20 (when I got pregnant with my first daughter). Have you had AMP by MD? Those are tasty too...I was addicted to energy drinks for a while. Now I'm just a coffee person haha!

Oh gotcha! I thought maybe they did, but I could just be thinking of Monster and Rockstar. Yeah that's definitely a LOT of sugar. I was chatting on my other poem with David about being sugar-free/ketogenic as well. Seems like there's a few of us who can't tolerate sugar. I'm not diabetic, but I have PCOS so I don't process glucose well either. Stay strong!

I actually succumbed to a cup today after almost 70 hours of work! Then took a nap immediately afterward! Sometimes caffeine can't even help.
Another great piece, AtoMikOne.

This is such a wonderful description of a quick, yet insanely complex experience. It actually reminds me very much of what I was trying to capture in one of my older poems. Great job!

Haha thank you! Yes!! It really is complex, and even saying that almost sounds trit, but it's complicated and nuanced.
