Paint brushes and walls

 

    a game of sports with souls;
   the core of the game remains the same;
   kick offs, crossovers, strike outs;
   bench warmers, bases, field goals,
  
  
   tickets, and televison sets for higher stages;
   soul searching taking place from within;
   substance abuse shaping up,
   like clean cuts at barbershops

  
  " do the right thing" echoes in ones mind;
    "talking heads" directed by spikes
    yet detachment is a mutual understanding;
    mustard seed gardens, and nectar filled flowers

  
   fallen pedals towards the ground,
   in hope that new life may arise,
   from a body full of cells that regenerate;
   paint brushes and walls....
