Empathy
I feel your pain inside my heart
before you say a word
if ever a word is spoken.
My chest burns as the hottest fire
while rapid, erupting heartbeats
spew ashes of our wounds into clean air.
And yet we simmer in silence
like leftover coals.
before you say a word

My chest burns as the hottest fire
while rapid, erupting heartbeats
spew ashes of our wounds into clean air.
And yet we simmer in silence
like leftover coals.
