Living Life Dangerously
I want to live on the edge and do something reckless.
Kissing a stranger at midnight. Dancing in the middle of
The street while wearing rings, bracelets and necklaces
Drenched in diamonds. Finding some way to fall in love
With someone I know I shouldn’t while screaming at
The top of my lungs and jumping from an airplane.
Drinking alcohol until the world is tilting. Taking a bat
To smash car windows and slash tires. Break or sprain
My ankles until I can no longer move. Laying down on
The sidewalk and simply looking at the stars. Fleeing
From this town, turning into a ghost and being gone.
Having someone to care that much about my well-being.
