My Keep, My Cage
Winter only just yielded
Serrated frost forgiven
For flaying away beautiful bits
Ages pain and pine away
Ages pain and pine away
Dial down the new few
Turn away
Fly astray Son Sunrise
Go gaze across a feathered face
You won't know me if I stay
You won't hold me when I stray
Sweep steep solace
(It's only an ache)
Pangs ring up my bowed backbone
(Strong but breaking)
Skillful sparrows stockpile secrets
The ones Father founded
His little loves linger
A plan
A place
Their own precious resting nests
I'm impounded where I stand
It's unfounded in your hand
I stay grounded when I land...
