Sunlight

In hazy space between
           Dream and Truth
A veneer of reality just a fragile crust,
                               I linger.
Prismatic bursts of filtered light
    Illusory
Craze within my vision
    Eyelids hesitate
 to prolong this mercurial state.
Sunlight spills, back naked, thighs splayed
                  On warm linen.
Then,
A warmth of a different source...
The humid zephyr of your breath languishes on my spine.
Lips on my shoulder blade
                     Gentle teeth
My tangle of hair swept slowly aside
        I feel every nerve.
I shiver, but I am not cold.
Two hands
Pressing into the bed astride my waist, a luscious prison of sinew and strength, you tower
       Behind me.
Knees press between thighs, levering outward.
I resist, only slightly, perhaps to make the moment last.
Our palms are stacked
                     Mirroring our bodies
Piloted by a nameless force
                          We undulate
Rhythmic, a welling of heat
                   From a deep space
Not between, but within
        Ascending
                 Surging
                        Engulfing
                               Surfacing
Collapsing.
    Breath hot on my neck.
       Sunlight in my eyes.
