I like the line, "Gnaws at her thoughts like a ravenous beast" Good writing.

Its tough to shake the darkness at times. But you provide hope and that sliver of light leads you out. Nicely encompassed in your poem.

These dark thoughts seep into us, can rule us, can desecrate us if we are not careful.  I love the strength in the end of this.  To recognize this darkness in ourselves and be able to control it.  Bravo for you, for I have fallen victim to the darkness and lost the battle before.
