NAKED IN OUR BEDROOM
The ease you have in your own skin
Bespeaks confidence from within,
Acceptance of the way God made
You, as like Adam you parade
In the hallowed sanctuary
Of bedroom shared maritally.
The sight inspires security
To join you in your nudity,
Becoming like Adam and Eve
Before the serpent did deceive,
To bite the Divine hand that fed
Them, be ashamed to be naked.
Within the mirror you and I
Our joint reflection we espy.
You turn to me and take my hand
Like on our wedding day, then stand
Sharing the view into the glass,
Which no longer can embarrass.
We reflect on years gone and come,
Including being Dad and Mum,
Good times and hardships we both shared
Leaving their marks on the skin bared.
Then you say, not just dutiful,
"Your body, still, is beautiful,"
Bespeaks confidence from within,
Acceptance of the way God made
You, as like Adam you parade
In the hallowed sanctuary
Of bedroom shared maritally.
The sight inspires security
To join you in your nudity,
Becoming like Adam and Eve
Before the serpent did deceive,
To bite the Divine hand that fed
Them, be ashamed to be naked.
Within the mirror you and I
Our joint reflection we espy.
You turn to me and take my hand
Like on our wedding day, then stand
Sharing the view into the glass,
Which no longer can embarrass.
We reflect on years gone and come,
Including being Dad and Mum,
Good times and hardships we both shared
Leaving their marks on the skin bared.
Then you say, not just dutiful,
"Your body, still, is beautiful,"
