Tell me Blackbird
Tell me blackbird.Why do you sing?
I have asked you many times before,yet
am no wiser,you do not answer,
don't think you know. Perhaps
to accuse you such is unfair.Maybe
I should climb your tree, take
a ladder to the tiles see the view
from which you sang today and
yesterday the day before tomorrow
and every other day that would be,
would be without you,yet less.Yes
I'll take the ladder,sit upon the tiles
and sing,Will you stand and listen ?
What shall I sing ? A simple song ?
unwritten extemporized as yours?
Or do I take the violin,practice, as
you have done these thousand years
until the notes fly pure above the trees
lost to all but memory. perhaps know
why you sang today,yesterday ,
the day before and shall tomorrow.?

I think it fragments, it is definitely felt at times stronger than others...A wistful and Dreamy Write Sir Kexby-The pause or calm felt in this was immense!!!

I think I got it right .having discussed this with my mentor ( actor, poet and PhD ) we edited a number of punctuations and superfluous sentences/words , always an interesting session.It is difficult for an author to check and when accepting criticism one should check the credentials of the 'critic' in my case' mentor'. thanks for calling souladareatease.Kexby

i like the questions in this ..
you give the bird a musical feel.. its as if you see the bird playing music .. its very lovely isn't it , just to listen to birds singing their own tune? i myself love the sound of birds, something so simple yet so beautiful and each bird seems to have a different sound

Birds sing because they cannot help themselves. We can learn a lot from nature.A simple tweet from a sparrow ,or the cooing of the dove holds so much if we will only listen and cease to shout Thankyou for calling and your comment.
