Recklessness
It was a day that coulnd't be better
I was hitting the road to work
While I was trying to have a left turn
At a similar, narrow intersection
A motorbike from nowhere suddenly appeared
Came to my sight at a lightning speed
Whistling past my windshield
Made me greatly stunned and flattened
At the moment I was about to hit him
I tried hard to slam on the brakes
And force my car to pause
When I looked at the young man on the motorbike
He was wearing a humble helmet
And was not at all frightened
The whatever attitude from his glance like saying:
Look! I am not afraid of death!
Do you dare to bring it forth?
How could an ordinary person face death without freaking out?
He must be a raving lunatic
In his crazy outlook
I was a scared cattle kneeling to pray
And he was a predator who got his prey
Almost a second I couldn’t even move
Many possibilities surged into my head
I might strike him with bloodshed
And that is not my initiative
I might suffer from the misery
And that is a pain through eternity
Pick up my fallen bag
Which was flung forward by the violent jolt
I was depressed but still hope
He could be safe at the next stop
On the way to school
The motorcyclist’s face loomed up
Ghastly pale
With desperately hopeless
