My Own Prison

but dats how Love works & its always a risk
& u gotta giv it ur all bcuz anything less allows regret 2 exist....

Yes you are totally right but at the time I did not realize that. I have come a very long way from the place that I was trapped in back then. Or shall I say the place that I allowed myself to be trapped in. That was the time before I was incarcerated to the penal system. I was not only trapped in a self made prison I was also in prison in real life as well for 5 years behind my sick and twisted way of thinking back then. I was just released in January 2011. But I was released from the self inflicted prison long before my physical release from prison. But that has also had a big impact on my way of life as well as my way of thinking. I realized that I cant control my emotions but I can control the way I act on my emotions and that my friend has had the biggest influence on my life.

This reminded me of a song I listen to alot. That song is My Own Prison by Creed... The first line of your poem was:

"I've created this prison inside of me" and it reminded me of the line:
"I've created my own prison"
