If Nothing Else......

If nothing else, let me be your peace and calm.
Lay your head on my shoulder even if just for a moment.
Forget the world and it's problems and responsibilities.
Escape in me, and give me all your worry, stress and frustration.
For I will take it.  All of it, just to see you smile.
When you are too sad to talk, I will listen to your silence with patient ears.  
If you feel angry and misunderstood by the universe, I will sympathize without judgement.
If you have a heartache I will place my hand on your chest and absorb that pain into my own heart.
When you show up with red knuckles from rage, I will put my lips on them and inhale your wounds into my own body.
So If nothing else, escape in me and let me be your peace and calm.
