Unified Heart
The truth, itself, begins to brighten,
Possible chances to enlighten
Trickling, like a mountain stream
Softly flowing, as in a dream
Feel the clutches of darkness tighten,
As the power of the light heightens,
Feel power flowing from the beams,
The truth, the force of one redeemed
From the sunset rides a dark knight,
An ally to the valiant light.
To free the slaves of the machine,
Stop suffering of endless passion.
From other dimensions, out of sight
Beings have come to help make it right.
Through otherworldly teachings,
Wisdom will be in high fashion.
Just look around, we’ve been sent the signs.
Don’t get trapped within the system’s lines
Don’t stay stagnant. We must take action.
Don’t fight each other, in separate factions.
Live in logic, not laws of science
Don’t let religion force your compliance
Learn from your personal reactions,
Evolve & grow through interactions.
Live in meter & flow in time
Communicate through rhythm & rhyme
Breathe in this truth with satisfaction
Breathe out the knowledge, free from distractions
Clean off the muck & the slime & the grime
Listen to the resonating bell chime
We divide resources into sections
Open way for divine resurrections.
Just open your eyes & mind to the signs
& Allow the unified heart to bind
Call down Buddha, Jesus, & Baba G,
While we burn man’s symbols in effigy
Give up what you hold as “yours” & “mine”
Let the light grow & let the light shine
Love is yummy & It’s juicy
Beauty is Bountiful, Don’t You see?
The secrets are out there for you to find,
Hidden in the corners of your mind.
The signs show the Way for you to see,
Justice is in Forgiveness & Mercy

I like the feel of this poem, like a man on a box in a town square exhorting his fellow men and women to repent their ways. I will say, however, that the first line makes no sense, as logic is what drives science, therefore rigorous adherence to logic IS the basic law of science. Lines 3 and 4 don't sound like they rhyme right, and there should probably be a "the" in the line "Open [the] way for divine resurrections." Aside from some small glitches, I feel like this piece flows smoothly.

the logic should read as hope...that would work with the title I think.
I do not agree though about "the". I think leaving it out is ok..it reads with the same understanding without it and flows better.
I also feel that poetry does NOT need an exact rhyme to flow.

I believe it's not perfectly logical to follow science like a religion.
It's laws are always changing, as the paradigms shift.
Logic & reasoning goes beyond some supposed laws that are later mis-proven.
This was a critique on both science and religion,
and calling for a new form of philosophical spirituality

Well I don't know who's following science like a religion, but real scientists don't. Matter of fact, even the most basic scientific theories are always under fire by logic--even things as simple as the theory of gravity are routinely contested. Science is the constant application of logic to the understanding of the universe. I think you see "science" as the elementary school class in which you are taught that e equals mc squared instead of the centuries of rigorous adherence to logic which led to that theory. But, hey, it's your poem.
