Linger

Don't steal my breath
Don't take my thunder
Breathe me in, savior me a little longer
I don't want to linger but the desire makes me stronger
You pull me taunt but keep me together
Binding aches and heavy mistakes
I can still taste your whispers on my lips
And your mellow touch haunts my pillowcase
Toss and turn, twisted in my sheets
Another nightmare steals my screams
cold sweats leaking out me hidden regrets
Countless nights left missing your face
I can still feel your finger tips pressed to my hips. Their undetectable trace still searing my flesh.
Shaky hands and heartbeats skipped.
It's all a game, I'm willing to play
An endless chase with a price I'll always pay
If I can just make you stay.
