Everytime we say goodbye
I find myself lost in why
Why? Can't anyone be as true
Hold each other down til we
see it thru...
Why...Does the 'sky scene'
look like end of times, a mocked
sun that's lost its beam...
Why? The turn of crumpled covers
'neath naked flesh, suddenly
so cold without the warmth of breath ...
Why? In a world too often void
of togetherness, yet marred by
abundance of hatred n' evilness...
Why? Am I the one always the one
Tryin' to be the solution, to part
the problem knowin' your inclusion
may be the way to solve 'em...

Self preservation, becomes critical if your needs aren't being met. The latter is usually the rationale for a goodbye.
