A dungeon, thoughts creep
menacingly along the cracks
The liquid drops erode
a structure once vibrant,
strong, now suspect...
Night drags stars fiercely
from their 'rested space'
in spite
Decayed breath exhales burnt
lungs of shattered, hopeful,
maybes...
As the battering increases
torrential pourings, a heart
nearing empty...
And the taste, acidic
'pon tongue, spews mockingly
at a vagrant was to be...
