Swampman

Swampman felt a stirring in his innards
caressing his familiar
from a distance away
smiling, tears caressed his cheek

a face appears inside his kaleidoscope vision
a memory from the past
after it was over
she couldn't look him in the eye

rumor says she wound up in New Orleans
a WildChild
and was never tamed
trying to purge what took place that night

although she shows up from time to time
he never asks
what she's done
he just drinks the wine she brings and loves her

what she has in store for him
will soon come  to pass
