One thousand days and one night

“One thousand days and one night”
On a magic carpet of purple velvet, threaded through with purest gold.
A Rani there, fair and rare with breasts a’bare, rode the rose’ air.
Her silken skirts in hues so bold, fluttered in the misty, morning cold.  Cinnamon nipples erect, bold.
Racing home from her love affair, night 999 with the Sultans heir.
She prayed Allah “Keep me safe, and help me through my day.
Grant that I may do the things that please my lord, so his hand doth stay.
Keep the filthy, piggy beast at bay.  Turn his eyes from me.
Grant ease and rest, serenity so this night I may flee.
Back into the arms of my charming prince, to eliminate my grey.  Wholly thus I pray.”
Just one more day of living hell, of enduring all the pain, the toils and the strain.
Only to be washed away, in nights of bliss, with her charming prince.  Whose lips are Heaven’s kiss.
Another day done.  Thank god a safe one.  She flies away again.
To be anew with whom she does miss, and conspire, collude with others, and play her part in this.
For if she is to be forever free she must perform precisely, so Sultan shall never see.
What is coming just a day hence, he shall receive recompense.  For all abuses and lack of sense.
The dagger sharp as it needs to be.  The food, the drink, all ready.  The banquet starts at three.
So now to it.  Get off the fence.  Be ye careful, for Sultan’s not dense.  We will slip his best defence.
Lover, now fly far from me.  Entreat my plea, for your safety.  You being on time, is the key.
As Sultan sat in the banquet hall.  Rani at his beck and call.  He announced, to Thane and thrall.
“These thousand days I’ve been your lord, but enough’s enough and I’ve grown bored.
So feast you fools.  Enjoy the ball.  For at dawn, I kill you all”
That was it.  All it took was a sideways glance, a knowing look.  A dagger blow.  The kingdom shook.
No one there, in the hall that eve.  Couldn’t fathom, could not believe.  What their eyes did perceive.
The exiled prince, from the Sultan took, the crown and the hook.  Held them high, said “Ye look.
The tyrants dead.  Do not grieve.  For I’m now your king, I’ll not deceive.  All your burdens I will relieve.”
Now on the night of day one thousand and one, new Sultan and Rani could conceive a son.
A prosperous kingdom they had a fair land.  Governed and cared for with a just hand.
This just goes to show, what can be done.  What love can accomplish.  Fun in the sun.
Sometimes dirty deeds needs be planned, boldly executed, and united with a golden band.
