I exhale & a nebula is born        
you hide yourself in the breath        
of my creation        
       
cover yourself        
with celestial clouds        
so that even my mind        
is unsure of your true visage        
       
you shift & the ground beneath me        
becomes unsteady        
you're a creature handmade        
by the gods themselves        
       
chiseled in stone        
is your resolve        
I melt away        
when faced with your logic        
       
my heart is like a meteor hurdling        
to the Earth        
destined to burn        
deep is my lust        
       
within this mortal woman        
lies an immortal love        
I knew you once        
drank from your divine cup        
& you knew me        
       
now we are just two stars        
that shine in the same sky        
who taste each other        
within the poetry pages        
       
though I fail to reach you        
with plastic words        
hollow echos        
in your ears        
       
you hear me call        
know my voice        
but no longer        
recognize my face
