Starry-eyed Wanderin'
May have lost the best thing
ever had in this world,
why stay in here wastin'
my damn breath on you girl?
Your starry-eyed gaze
had me in a deep haze
you kept me cut off
from my wanderin' world.
I'm no cowboy or drifter
but I drift in and out,
I have doubts but will never
second guess you were true,
When we met with our eyes
it was love at first stare,
I don't dare fall out
of my deep love for you.
You said you would wait
for one thousand years
til I got done
wanderin' some
far place I called home,
Now you say that you're done
and there's no time to waste,
darling why
shouldn't I
wander off on my own?
You watched as I fell
then helped me back up,
how you cried
every time
I left with goodbyes,
I'll dry all your tears
and won't leave again,
it's luck dear
I'm stuck here
wanderin' your eyes.
