Side Lore: What the Puck!!??

D-Puck,  was a confused
 'product' of his environment.
He lived a truly rough existence
that is, 'til his retirement.

A bona-fide member of
an upstart 'hockey league'
(it became a hit).
Accustomed to, but
had grown tired of
 the nightly poundings
he'd get.

Never bought
into the reality
of his 'split personality'
so, he decided to quit.

Now,
on to the next challenges
he'll face.
Oh, but how to explain
his uniquely odd case.

You see, D's been told
many times, and it always
felt like an outlandish slap
across the 'face.'

Yea, 'D'
WAS A "HOCKEY PUCK..."

yet he was 100% certain

 without a doubt
that he,
WAS in fact...

 a BOOT

without a 'Lace...!'
