wild flower
I've bled out
all of my beauty
nothing is left
of spring's blossoms
except dried flowers
pressed neatly
in my diary
to mark all of the lovely days
spent in nature's embrace
I hike up the mountain
of discontent
trails of pain
welcome summer's ache
not knowing when the rains
will come again
with the change of the seasons
something has come over me
that causes my soul to keen
poetic light shine
that was
has faded
lovingly & tenderly
I take them in my hands
& hold on to the watercolors
that were once bold in color
create new landscapes
in shades that reflect my mood
there are charcoal rivers
that wind their way through my valley
giving life to barren lands
soon will come the wild flowers
& set me free with their beauty
as summer smiles on me
& I am a child again
born to a new day
with grace on the horizon

Re. wild flower
I like the way you are attempting to 'recycle' summer almost, crimsin, rescuing those watercolours, saving them in your hands to create something equally as beautiful with the changing of each season. The last six stanzas are simply breathtaking in my view. I love the photo of the equally beautiful flowers also.

Crim, I really enjoyed reading this piece. It really comes to life (especially with the image that goes alone with it). Amazing!! Makes me think of spring (such a lovely season).

Love this poem, dear Crim!
It has a bit of a rebirth feeling to it... I love wild flowers more than other flowers and if I have a house with a garden one day (I live in a building) there would be poppies and cornflowers! I said that ever since I was a child... love the picture as you can imagine :-)
Love, Duende

Every day born again to a whole new you. I love that you used dried flowers in this piece. Flowers don't lose their beauty just because they've dried, they've just taken on another aspect and can be enjoyed for many years to come. Your beauty will never die or fade away, my beautiful Angel. It just takes on more depth. Much love...

I'm delighted to see your bright side Crim. It could be a new season or healing change of heart. The page becomes your canvass here
create new landscapes
in shades that reflect my mood
there are charcoal rivers
that wind their way through my valley
giving life to barren lands
Fine imagery that really sets the mood, one of joy and renewal. You may be wild but you're a Lady through and through.

My Beautiful Brenda...there is always breath taken from me while reading your words...you have watercolors, pastels seemingly faded from the bright ones, but when mixing those pastels together, the primary colors return...no matter what color is presented for us, there is always beauty there to see within the layers of ink...
I love you so very much!
With all my love - Taryn xoxo
