EGO, SOMNUM EXTERRERI II: IMAGO

'Portrait of the world
One sees in fragments
Beauty obscured
Intentions masked
By periphery

As such...
Tunnel vision is will
While one finds clarity
And the rest becomes nil

And one
Becomes nil'

Inside my soul
I carry you
Behind my back
I shelter you
Along with anxiety

A taut web was spun
Alone in a room
Deprived of the sun
Its rays taunting through
Staunch, iopterous
Liquid stains her lips
She remains cirrhus
Her faith I eclipse

She is wed to the floor
Weary eyes do tell
A seed sown in the moor
My immortelle

'As I look upon the benighted forest
For a brief moment, I adjust my gaze
A reflection I thought haggard, grimaced
And lightning took the reflection away'

Pulled from a waking dream
By the whistle and steam
Archetype of the routine
Token for the serene

A brief exchange we share
But silent words are crystals
And a madness is born within
The night was her dominion

But her respite was no escape

Clutching a note
Dampened ink on the page
Blurring inevitability

She takes my hand
And looks away
Led to the wall
To greet the day

Embracing me
Her screams die underneath

She is wed to that wall
Bleeding flesh does swell
A seed sown in the moor
My immortelle
