Thoughts of a New Linear Perspective
We exist only in moment's gone by.
We bleed in to seconds,
melt into minutes
hours then form days
Weeks become years
finally becoming decades
that blur in to one cohesive flashback.
We find ourselves treading water,
struggling to rise to the surface.
Our past weighs us down
like the cement shoes made
from our own mistakes and transgressions .
Gradually, over time we lose ourselves
to the ether of old age and hopelessness.
...but that was moments ago.
I suppose moment's are what
makes us who we are?
Are memories are composed
of an infinite series
of traumatic experience's
that line your "Shrink's" pocket
and provides you with
never ending nightmares that
last a lifetime.
...But that thought was
a moment ago too!
Now forever lost
among'st the garbage
that sticks to the sides
of my corded mind..
Like the congealed bubblegum of youth
stuck to the back seat of the school bus...
now where was I?..Ah yes...
