Seven years
I hadn’t seen her in seven years…
The weekend played out as I imagined it would
I knew from the start when she kissed my cheek
A secret to be kept is what we formed
Because she’s married and I’m an old flame
This fire never died…
Late night smoke and drinks flow
Laughing with friends about old times
She caught me in the kitchen alone for a moment
And said she just wanted a familiar hug
All too familiar…
Night played on till three in the morning
Everybody else was passed out asleep
Just she and I left alone with a buzz
Our hands couldn’t stop from reaching
Her husband won’t like this…
I pulled her close and kissed her neck
She put her hands in my pants
I turned her around and pushed up in
She went weak in the knees with a moan
We stopped halfway through…
She said I can’t but I want to
I told her not to worry about it
We went back to a hug instead
…and then she said she never forgot me
The weekend played out as I imagined it would
I knew from the start when she kissed my cheek
A secret to be kept is what we formed
Because she’s married and I’m an old flame
