Dark light

Soft glow from the lime light
I watched as she turned bright
Thought it was over
Toss over my shoulder
But then her sight burned night
Disturb the dark perturbed the art
All fall in as shadows fall apart
Drifting in angst
Lifting to thanks
Who knows that those haul a cart
Loaded with stolen dreams
Kids' play as it seems
Can't blame the light for its beams
The discovery of a shattered night
Lasting long after the fight
Only to vanquish the plight
But light lets go
Loosens its grip
The dark returns as time slips
Ebb and flow
As life to be sowed
All the while I watch her
Just as she knows
