The rules of the competition are to write a story in six words, so verbosity was not an option. I didn't expect comment on this, so thank you for taking the time to let me know the story I attempted to tell was there. I'm sorry that you were able to relate to it so closely.

I don't disagree. There are poems I've read that I know I don't understand completely, but something in them connects with me. At times, I want to figure out why, other times I'm content to leave it as it is.
Re: Re. Flash Fiction Competition
I think that's the essence of spirit-to-spirit communication. Sometimes we don't understand (intellectually) the art/poetry but something in us connects deeply with the artist/poet and the experience they have gone through in order to produce what we then experience in their work.
And thanks paperstains for the RL (Reading List) addition of "An Experience of Fire".

My intent is to comment on that one, Josh, once I have my thoughts together on it. Thank you for adding to our conversation here. I planned to delete this poem once the competition was over, and once I had more submissions available. I didn't think it would attract comment or conversation. I think I'll keep it now.
Re. Flash Fiction Competition
Just wanted to let you know that I do hope you'll keep this write. And welcome to DUP.

Thank you kindly. Six words doesn't leave much room for middle ground does it?
