A Feather Floats

Light falls amongst light not a shadow's might
blown past the day but with tepid winds
graceful as a feather floats  
down in silence
beheld nearer a beauty rests  
before bent visions  
held in check from a sultry sea
breaking where fragrance parts

It dwells in storied touch
lain across ancient ways but
still held taught
when sumptuous lips unite
and stagnant thoughts float free
as if the feather in the wind
was one again
with me
