Sacred are our tears
not a sign of weakness
allowing them to fall
messages they express
not meant to be captive
as feelings are not tame
emotional release
never shed in shame
conveying volumes
sharing empathy
experiencing with
delivering sympathy
proclaimers of love
as well as grief
offering compassion
couriers of relief
weeping with joy
crying in pain
healing the soul
time and again
beauty in how they speak
as tongues are often tied
never are they silent
or undignified
