Mantid Symbolism (simplified for the crayon)
Reeds sway
to breeze
songs softly
sung under
a slow
settling sun
silhouettes cicada
west winds
wet grass
floating chrysanthemum
ever changing
green translucence
upon blade
diamond head
hands pray
looking far
back behind
you see
sandspit dunes
while I
sit in
lush growth
envision
the teachings
cherry blossoms
mantid mantras
profound Buddhism
soaking wisdom
Aya fern
chirping larks
continue on
long after
you disappear
presence remains
here before
again thereafter
such is
repeated pattern
simply since
it's insisted
round fans
every complexity
in depth
we come
back again
to those
simple waves
go slow
simply soak
everything in
as I
breathe in
breathe out
tilting head
an observance
to ones
simplicity

To simplify one's life brings peace. I think returning to the waves, or whatever peaceful point of focus one chooses, is the key. That and relaxation. You don't have to be adept in all the finer points of meditation. Just a little practice with the technique in the last stanza and things may stabilize. Takes a bit longer with someone who's thinking is as chaotic as my own. This is fine work souladareatease, beautifully and simply written, filled with wisdom. Just wish I'd remembered to bring my crayon....

Soul, this serene piece has a Taoist quality. You paint well the ever-changing face of nature and yet also express the constancy of the same. Bravo!
