Don’t think I wouldn’t
I really, really would
Don’t say I shouldn’t
Cause I probably should
Some say I couldn’t
But I know, I could
You think I won’t
You’re wrong, I will
Saying I love you was easy to do
I‘m sorry for what I put you through
Saying I hate you was easier still
Screaming get out, I’ve had my fill
Watching you cry all broken hearted
Saying fuck you, don’t get me started
Saying goodbye, glad to be rid
Is the best thing I ever did
All this in my mind, you are still here
Something is missing, I need one more beer
And soon I will max up my Dutch courage and stuff
You’ll see what I’m made off; you’ll see that I’m tough
You will not be allowed to bypass me, straight through
You’re about to see what this man can do

No Sir, you never did- my apologies for my laziness- yes stark naked truth- uncomfortable for me but i have to be honest despite the consequences. I have always admired your ink and You and nothing I see should change that! Forgive my laziness.

it's not laziness my friend - DU can easily become a major task - I was just checking because I care what you think and of course my paranoia - sometimes my words offend :-) glad to know we are still friends -> smiling broadly :-)

Dave! if any disagreements we have- we prettymuch know them as they're there in the open-and the thing that binds us is our agreement to disagree re-each others' views without affecting an iota of our friendship which I treasure so dearly. Smiling I am too! Grinning ear to ear! Thank you!

Enjoyed the read David...I don't know what inspired it but what visualised while reading it was you watching some guy drinking alone in a pub and you filling in the blanks...it flows off the tongue 👍

you're almost there - it's inspired by my uncle Tommy who never stood up for himself, always putting it off by drinking (lol) thanks for the read and the astute comment :-)
