Valley

CYCLE I: EARTH

From heart in valley’s vales does Goddess give
New life to all that’s known through earth and time.
Graced with Her sacred flows to all that live
The quench of parch and sweat from struggles’ clime.
Her palace gained in spreads of futile fields,
Her throne room floor is banked in river's run.
Though force insist, its conquest will soon yield,
Can few resist Her wrest of wills begun.
High mountain storms may come with thunder’s rage
With flash in dark illumine valley’s still.
And torrents rush to spill Her river’s gauge,
For even stony flood Her plans fulfill.
To those that open come, their love profess,
With work hard spent, that in Her folds find rest.
