The Great Wall

beyond the bedroom what is it do we have here?
an affliction for tales of fiction
cultivating addictions while caught up in
sensual late nite diction filled with confessions of wantonness.

so liberal and free thinking behind closed doors
yet a conservative prude in your day to day activities
i mean..where did all that submissiveness go?
thought i had you in captivity like an exquisite creature
you wore raw sentiments on your sleeves with such recklessness
only to hang them out to dry by the morning sun
guess it's time to say bye bye to my She-Ra

btw

i did have a great time...but seeing how
your bedroom obedience dissipated with such expedience
i had to put these reoccurring flashbacks of the experience into a
realistic context..step outta the hall of mirrors
cuz things were nowhere near as close as they seemed

maybe i got it twisted as i twisted you
inside out thinking there was a deeper connection
maybe all that intense eye contact was nothing more
than you reflecting my own ego back at me
contextualizing me as you fucked me into a pretty little box
maybe i got gassed up on how
your walls collapsed over and over and over
mesmerized by the sublime manner
in which you gave your body to me to do as i will

but in the end

the great wall remained intact
everything you admitted was so easily omitted
stricken from the record of your soul
all the sounds you made was like
a tree falling in the forest as far as your heart was concerned
an epic event that took place elsewhere
ending up as a quaint little rumor that would
bring a smirk to your face
as you sipped your morning tea
