Dawn of An Endless Day
Deep in the bowels of planet Earth
Blackest coal is being pressed against from all sides.
Beyond endurance until a "critical mass" is reached.
Then the miracle of metamorphosis takes place:
Oh behold the white wonder of the dazzling diamond !! ...
Likewise, in the depths of blackest, most unfathomable Space of long ago
(Over four billion years back,)
a massive cloud of hydrogen gas. split off from a larger cloud.
As it condensed due to gravity, etc,
The pressure building produced such heat
or critical mass that the hydrogen ball
morphed into the shining solar orb !!
Yes, I'm talking about the sun we all know and love.
How much better is the glory of the sun
than that of the diamond.
For the diamond's beauty is all for nought.
For it is hidden away, buried in the opaque blackness.of solid ground.
Whereas the naked sun even though encircled by the blackness of space,
its light is plainly seen.
by all the planets that orbit it, worlds whirling as though in veneration.of the light they live for.
This love-inspiring light began shining at the dawn of what could be called an endless day
("endless" when seen from the sun's point of view)

Thanx for your encouragement!! I need it too. Let me add that i actually typed the whole poem. I was finishing like the last sentrnce -- when Junior the dog came into the kitchen where i wad sitting.Somehow i shifted my smart phone from one hsnd to the other.In the process of dealing with the dog jumping up or at least putting his paws on me i touched some spot on the g.d. phone and lost the whole poem !!! Ordinarily i would just rewrite the whole thing from memory right away. But i had already stayed up all night and this was around 9 or 10 am. So i only managed a small part of the poem. And went to bed. But i'm glad i got some of it done well enuff to meet with your approval. Your comment makes the loss seem not so bad.
