You (15.03.17)

I
am tired
of all of this.

Take me away
somewhere new
where I can rest
my bones and
light a cigarette
just for you,
(like I did
2 years back;
watching it die
slowly by your
headstone)

I
wrote you
letters and letters
telling you how
I missed you and
to what depths

I told you mum's doing okay

I didn't tell you
Dad had cancer

his brother had it
too and
his father before him
they both beat it

but you couldn't.

you.

of Hazel eyes
and curly hair

of dreams of today
rather than tomorrow

It took you over
made you grow weak
I
hated
every moment
of watching you wither
away

so quickly.

Dear you,
You're safer now
if Heaven's a place
and God is real
You're safe now.
