- LET ME GO -
Time seems to be rushing by
Loved ones become wraiths
And remaining memories
Surely fading away
I remember when I once had
All of eternity
When next morning was guaranteed
I know that I’m busting my ass
For an early spot in the grave
If I could just wash the blood from my hands
Maybe I could find my way back home
If I could shake off the cutting sand
Maybe I could find my way back home
Let me go
Let me
I am so sick and tired
Of endless graveside days
Something you never forget
That will not fade away
Do you remember when you had
All of eternity
When next morning was guaranteed?
Just like me are you turning grey
As the storm before the crows?
If I could just wash the blood from my hands
Maybe I could find my way back home
If I could shake off the cutting sand
Maybe I could find my way back home
Let me go
Let me
Home is just ahead
Through the swirling mists
Sea of grasping hands
Pull me back from the edge
I can’t remember when I had
All of eternity
Now the mourning is guaranteed
Will you read me a eulogy
Never judge me for who I am
If I could just wash the blood from my hands
Maybe I could find my way back home
If I could shake off the cutting sand
Maybe I could find my way back home
Let me go
Let me
