these emotion keep me going
I used to be a poet seeking to see an omen,
Uselessly speaking to be noticed,
Dreaming of speechless opponents,
If I own it,
…Beautifully…
And geek between beats they’ll know it,
Truthfully I focus and critique these motives,
Tally the totals and leave a streak on the totem,
Technique is one thing,
Though it’s these emotions that keep me going.
