The Law of Moses = BONDAGE We Are To Put Off !!

Back in Nov 2016 I was visiting a friend.
He saw an article in the newspaper about prehistoric infants buried 27,000 years ago - recently excavated.      
     
My friend scoffed at the dating of the bones as "27,000 years old."    
"How can they know the bones are that old --- they can't.
For the Bible says the world is only 6,000 years old !!   
 They are outrageously presumptuous, " he said.      
     
There you go again, I replied.      
Dont you know you're totally in bondage to the Law of Moses  --  the 5 books of Moses.    
Why did I tell him that - because the passages in the Bible that imply 6,000 years is the age of the Earth are found only in the books of Moses.      
     
He replied, I have to hold onto it (the 6,000 years) for the Bible is the Word of God which doesn't lie.      
Its my duty to be loyal, don't you understand ??      
     
No, no, no - I replied.      
Paul the Apostle taught that we are "no longer under the Law (of Moses)" (Romans  6.14)".      
"Dont be entangled again with the yoke of BONDAGE (to the Law)"(Galatians 5.1; 4.24-25).      
Dont YOU understand??  Repeating my    
self, I go on about Paul's word, we "are not under the Law (of Moses)" (Galatians 5.18).      
Let me paraphrase it like so,      
We arent under the books of the Law of Moses.      
So we arent obligated to believe in or defend the genealogies found in those books, specifically Genesis chapters 5 @ 7.      
Paul steers us AWAY FROM the "endless genealogies" in the Law(1 Timothy 1.4; Titus 3.9).      
 He's talking about the genealogies of men who lived relatively "endless" lives of 300 or 700 or even 969 years, supposedly!!      
If Paul is boldly discrediting the socalled "historical" part of Moses's books, who but God is moving him to do so??      
     
Are you questioning that the 5 books of Moses are "the Word of God," my friend asks.      
     
They are "the Word of God" but they just aren't on a par with the New Testament, I reply.      
For John the Apostle wrote that "The Law was given by Moses, but grace and TRUTH came by Jesus Christ"(John 1.17).      
By saying truth came AFTER Moses, "by Jesus Christ," John (God thru John) is denying that the truth in those books is on the same level as in the New Testament !!    
Paul says much the same thing.      
"The Law contains a SHADOW of the image, not the very image"(Colossians 1.15-17; Hebrews 10.1).    
Let me paraphrase it like this, "The Law contains a shadow, not the truth itself."    
Christ joins in with, "God's Word is truth" (John 17.17; Psalms 119.160).    
That's the standard that must be met.  
Since the Law isn't the truth, only the shadow, the Law is the Word of God in a lesser --  much lesser  --  sense than the New Testament.    
WHY CANT YOU FUNDAMENTALISTS SEE THAT??    
PS: Paul the Apostle says it well."When one becomes an adult, its time to put away CHILDISH THINGS"   --  like a 6,000 old Earth and men that live for 969 years.
